To agree terms and enter into a 12 month
agreement with Peabody South East to provide a grant of
£37,478 for the further funding of the support provided at
Derek Crosfield House. The grant will be paid from the
Council’s allocation from the Flexible Homelessness Support
Fund.
This decision follows on from the decision made by the Housing
Portfolio Holder on 12th May 2017 to fund the scheme for an initial
period of 12 months and if value for money considerations are
satisfied to approve future funding whilst such value for money
considerations are met and a budget is available.
Officers believe that value for money has been provided since the
original decision and the support cost has been renegotiated to a
lower sum for 2020/21. The scheme continues to run well and
provides a much needed supported housing resource for the District
with good outcomes for the tenants.
