Purpose:

To consider granting Members £1,000 each from the TCF to support local communities in their respective wards during the Covid-19 public health emergency.

Decision:

Allocation of £1,000 to each ward Member from the Tendring Community Fund to support local communities during the current coronavirus disruption.

 

That the Council's Section 151 Officer has delegated authority to undertake the necessary steps to implement this decision.

Reasons for the decision:

To support local communities through the current period of disruption caused by COVID 19.

Alternative options considered:

Not providing the proposed funding will see reduced capacity / potential loss of important community activities / groups.
