Through the Re-opening High Street Safely Fund
launched by MHCLG in 2020 and the Welcome Back Fund launched in
2021 the Council has the option to claim back the cost of
expenditure associated with work undertaken to ensure that high
streets and other high footfall areas of the district were
COVID-secure and supported safe re-opening of businesses.
The decision taken here is to sign a grant funding agreement with
MHCLG in order that funding claims can be made to the fund.
