Through the Local Delivery Pilot Scheme, Sport England have approved a bid to fund the development of an Active Ageing Outdoor Gym in Holland on Sea.
The funding is for £60,000 for the gym and a further £10,000 for an activation plan. Total funding £70,000.
All procurement rules will be followed and quotations will be invited for this work.
The outdoor gym will target those aged over 65 years or those rehabilitating and will focus on strength and balance exercises.
A letter of concurrence to accept this funding has been signed by Cllr Lynda McWilliams, portfolio holder for Partnerships.
