The Council has been working with the Football
Foundation, Essex FA and other partners and stakeholders, to
develop a strategy for 3G pitches in the Tendring District.
A decision is now required by the Council to bid for up to
£350,000 from the Football Foundation towards the cost of a
new 3G pitch at Clacton Leisure Centre. This bid forms part of the
Council's Back to Business agenda and aspiration to improve the
current sports facilities stock. Planning Permission for this
development is already in place.
