In order to support the sustainability and
subsequent growth of the taxi trade in the District. There is a
risk that without these decisions the District will lose Hackney
Carriage and Private Hire vehicles, drivers and operators, as they
simply will not be able to meet the renewal fee in a single
payment, subsequently imposing a financial pressure upon themselves
and their businesses.
