The Public Speaking Scheme for the Joint Committee gives the opportunity for members of the public and other interested parties/stakeholders to speak to the Joint Committee on any specific agenda item to be considered at this meeting.
The Chairman will invite public speakers to speak following the Officer’s introduction to the report on the item. The Chairman will ask public speakers to come to the table in turn at the beginning of the discussion of the report of the relevant item.
Members of the public, who want to speak about an item, which is to be considered at this meeting of the Joint Committee can do so if they have notified the Officer listed below by Noon on Friday 23rd January 2026.

To present the Tendring Colchester Borders Garden Community (TCBGC) Joint Committee (hereafter the Joint Committee) with a planning application for the erection of two detached buildings (each of which are sub-divided to make a total of four units) for use under Class B8 (Storage and Distribution).
The report explains the background and rationale for the Officers’ recommendation, highlighting a range of planning considerations including the principle of development, the impact to the landscape character, highway safety, and impact to neighbouring amenities.
The report then provides the Joint Committee with a recommendation and invites this to be considered and discussed prior to a decision being made. |

Report A.2 - Infrastructure Update To provide background and an update to the Tendring Colchester Borders Garden Community (TCBGC) Joint Committee to note for information purposes key forward funded transport infrastructure delivery on site or associated with TCBGC. The report outlines the infrastructure that has been completed or commenced to date, in addition to setting out next steps noting that a detailed assessment of the impacts of the development can only be fully undertaken once all planning documentation has been submitted by the applicant. |
