Councillors are invited to declare any Disclosable Pecuniary Interests, Other Registerable Interests of Non-Registerable Interests, and the nature of it, in relation to any item on the agenda.

The Sub-Committee is requested to consider passing the following resolution:-

“That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of Agenda Items 5 to 9, on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A, as amended, by the Act.”

To enable the Sub-Committee to consider a review of a Hackney Carriage Driver and Vehicle Licence where the licence holder has failed to comply with a reasonable instruction given by an authorised Licensing Enforcement Officer.

To present to Members the circumstances relating to an application submitted for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver Licence, and to seek the Sub-Committee’s determination as to whether he is a fit and proper person to hold such a licence. The matter has been referred to the Sub-Committee following the endorsement of six penalty points on his DVLA driving licence for driving without insurance, which remained current at the time his application was submitted.

To present to Members a request to review the Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver Licence and Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence, and to seek the Sub-Committee’s determination as to whether he remains a fit and proper person to continue to hold such licences.
