To update Cabinet on the activities of Career Track, the Council’s apprenticeship training provider. The report also fulfils the requirements of the Governors’ Framework, which is designed to ensure the delivery of a high-quality experience for apprentices and employers, while meeting the expectations of funders and regulators. In accordance with this framework, the Board provides Cabinet with an annual update to maintain transparency and effective governance.

RESOLVED that Cabinet –

a)       notes the annual review of Career Track, including the programme’s impact, governance arrangements through the Board, quality assurance activity, financial position and proposed actions to support its continued development, together with the forecast subsidy reflected in the Council’s long-term financial plans; and

b)       requests that Officers continue to report financial updates through the two-year financial planning process and/or quarterly financial reporting arrangements, as appropriate.
