Since this time the Alliance Board approved the Inequalities
spending proposals on 22 October 2021 and the final MOUs have also
been agreed by the Portfolio Holder for Partnerships and the
Assistant Director of Partnerships.
Tendring members were given a presentation and overview of the plan
on 15 December 2021 at an All member's Briefing.
An Inequalities Funding Spending Plan was
taken to the Alliance Board on 22 October 2021 . The plan was
presented as a joint plan across North East Essex demonstrating
health inequality priorities across the two Districts. The plan
identified 50% of similarities across the two Districts (Colchester
and Tendring) and 50% of projects that were different for the two
organisations.
This plan was agreed and was subsequently presented at an All
Member Briefing on 15 December 2021.
The decision is now to commence the recruitment processes and
implement the plan in Tendring.
Option 1 - Not to work with health partners ,
which would be contrary to the Council's Corporate Plan and
priorities as a Community Leader.
Option 2 - To reject the funding offered to support health
priorities across the District.
Option 3 -To accept the Alliance funding (where it adhered to the
Council's governance procedures and priorities) . It should be
noted that one funding proposal was not accepted as it did not
adhere to Council policies.
