The Park Runs in Harwich and Clacton ceased to
take place during the pandemic in line with Government
guidance.
ECC (Dr Mike Gogarty) and Tom Williams, Park Run made contact with
the authority on 11 June 2021 to confirm a number of Park Runs
across Greater Essex had permission to re-start. This included the
Park Runs at Clacton and Harwich.
The two Park Runs in Tendring support the Council's strategic
health priorities.
The Portfolio Holder for Partnerships and the
AD (Partnerships) working with Public Health Officers agreed to
support the re-opening of the Park Runs in Tendring, following the
Government's Covid Road Map.
Colleagues in Public Realm have also been informed as the Park Runs
take place on TDC land.
This is an ECC Public Health initiative with the national Park Run
organisation, supported by Tendring District Council.
Option 1 - To not allow the Park Runs to
re-start
Option 2 - To allow the Park Runs to re-start in accordance with
the Government Covid Road Map
