Tendring District Council has been granted funding within the Safer Streets Fund to upgrade and extend CCTV coverage in Clacton Town Centre. Following public consultation on the scheme details and a full, open, tendering exercise evaluated on both cost and quality criteria has been completed. The process has identified OpenView Security Solutions Limited as the best tenderer.

To enter into a contract with OpenView Security Solutions Limited in the sum of £181,793.39 to deliver the extended and enhanced CCTV coverage in line with the Safer Streets Fund Grant.

Option 1 - Not appointing a contractor - not proposed - would require return of the grant and failure to deliver the upgrades.
Option 2 - Proceed to contract with OpenView Security Solutions Limited - proposed - identified as the most favourable bid.
Option 3 - Carry out a further procurement exercise - not proposed - time and resource would be lost with no likely benefit.
