Purpose:
The Local Validation List (LVL) for Planning
Applications was implemented on 2 January 2024. We have decided to
review and update the contents, following feedback received from
officers and customers. The purpose of the review is to further
improve the planning application requirements so that we can
continue to ensure highly quality and relevant information is
contained within all planning applications from the point of
validation.
Decision:
Following the close of the 6 week consultation
period on 17 October 2024, and subject to an evaluation of the
consultation responses received, the revised Local Validation Lists
will be adopted and implemented.
Alternative options considered:
Following feedback, whilst retaining its
current form, some minor alterations have taken place to the Local
Validation List requirements, to provide clarity and to introduce a
new requirement of a Self-Build / Custom-Build Housing form for all
development for new dwellings has been proposed.
A 6 week consultation period is underway to invite comments on the
documents. The consultation will run from 5 September 2024 until 17
October 2024.

can be found on the Local Validation List page on the Planning
pages of the Council's website.
