Purpose:

following the concurrence published on 13th February 2023 regarding the allocations for year 1 of the Shared Prosperity Fund, due to the high volume of applications received for this round of the Sports and Leisure Widening Participation grants, it is proposed to award the 2023/24 funding allocation from this round of applications.
Following a review of applications by the Sport

Decision:

Agreement with the outlined process and subsequent funding award of £19,995.59 received via email 9th March 2023 and attached.

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - only awarding £10,000 of funding to this round of applications. This would result in having to advise residents to resubmit applications which would otherwise have been successful and would delay award of funding, which could affect applicants ability to run activities.
