On 25th January 2022 Council gave approval, in respect of the formal adoption of the Tendring District Local Plan 2013-2033 and Beyond Section 2, that authority be delegated to the Acting Director of Planning, in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Chairman of the Planning Policy and Local Plan Committee, to:
a) make administrative corrections, if necessary, to address any minor typographical, grammatical or factual errors within the documents or maps, in the event that any are discovered before its final publication;
b) agree the insertion of an appropriate 'foreword' into the opening pages; and
c) agree an appropriate and up-to-date set of photographs of the District for insertion into the final published version, to refresh and update those previously included in the Local Plan published for consultation in 2017.
This decision confirms that the Acting Director of Planning, with the agreement of the Leader of the Council and the Chairman of the Planning Policy and Local Plan Committee has discharged a) and b) above - sufficient for the new Section 2 Local Plan to be published on the Council's website along with the formal notice of adoption. The insertion of photographs in accordance with c) will be discharged in due course and the adopted Plan will be updated accordingly, for presentational purposes only.

For the Acting Director of Planning on 26th January 2022 to publish the newly adopted Tendring District Local Plan 2013-2033 and Beyond Section 2 and associated notice of adoption without delay and with the insertion of a Foreword and a small number of administrative corrections as agreed in consultation with the Leader of the Council on the evening of 25th January 2022.
That the selection of an appropriate and up-to-date set of photographs for insertion into the Local Plan be carried out in due course and inserted into the published Local Plan at a later date, without the need to delay formal adoption and for purely presentational purposes without any prejudice to the Plan's policies and proposals.
