Purpose:

To seek approval for the granting of a new lease over land and property known as Batemans Tower, Brightlingsea.

Decision:

(a)       To agree the principle of granting a new lease over the land and property known as Batemans Tower, Brightlingsea; and

 

(b)       To agree terms for the grant of a new lease that land and property and to authorise the Corporate Director (Operations and Delivery) to complete the transaction as set out in the Officer report and on such other terms as he considers appropriate.

Reasons for the decision:

To renew the lease over the property in order for the tenant to continue its use as a start and finish for yacht racing and for the storage of marine equipment.

Alternative options considered:

To refuse the granting of the new lease.
