The OPFCC provides funding to Tendring
District Council on an annual basis for projects that support
Community Safety across Tendring. Each individual application is
assess by the Partnership to determine whether it meets the
strategic priorities of the District to reduce crime and enhance
community safety.
Cllr Lynda McWilliams is the Chair of the Community Safety
Partnership.
5 Projects have been agreed by the partnership to be grant funded
as follows:
UTurn - Knife Crime reduction programme (£2,750)
Colchester United (CUFITC) :
Mental Health Awareness (£2,750)
Small Group Project Mentoring (£2,750)
Unite our Communities (£2,500)
Open Road - Clacton Town Outreach Project (£2,153)
To award grants to the organisations as
detailed above and make the relevant payments.
The decision maker is the Community Safety Partnership and full
funding has been given to Tendring District Council by the OPFCC to
cover project costs.
Option 1 - To reject the funding offered by
the OPFCC to support Community Safety Projects across
Tendring
Option 2 - To accept the funding and invite applications for grant
funding applications in line with the priorities of the Community
Safety Partnership.
All bids for grant funding require the partnership members to agree
bid proposals.
