Purpose:

The purpose of this project is to carry out a primarily postal survey to obtain information from our tenants on the services that we provide and to identify areas for improvement. This is to be carried out using ‘A guide to running STAR: How to conduct STAR tenant and resident satisfaction surveys’ produced by Housemark
The aim of this project is to:
To gather information about how the delivery of services meets the needs and expectations of the public for whom they are intended.
To identify areas for service improvements.
To obtain customer profiling information upon which tenant insight can be developed.
To compare performance over time

Decision:

Following procurement in line with the Council's established procurement processes, to award undertaking of comprehensive tenant satisfaction survey to MEL Research

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - Not to carry out this project.
Option 2 - To appoint specialist market research agency
This project will contribute to the Council's compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's Consumer Standard relating to Tenant Involvement and Empowerment and the emerging requirements of the Social Housing White Paper
