The swimming pool changing rooms and spa area
at Clacton Leisure Centre (CLC) is now at the end of their
maintenance life cycle and need refurbishment. As such, a
refurbishment project was approved from the Cabinet Decision taken
on 19th July 2019. Following this Decision, an appointment of a
contractor is required to complete the necessary work.
The Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Tourism has concurred with the Assistant Director’s decision to appoint Lexden Contracts Construction to complete the Clacton Leisure Centre, Internal Alterations & Refurbishment project. The total contract sum will be £575,729.78, and the total cost of Daniel Connal Partnership consultancy fee is £19,600. This is fully funded from the Cabinet Decision taken on 19th July 2019, which allocated £525,000 and a further £92,000 allocated in the quarterly finance report on 19th March 2021.
