To deliver a service of intensive support to
tenants who are living in permanent, temporary and emergency
accommodation who will be at risk of eviction / homelessness, or
who are experiencing difficulties that are impacting on their
tenancy. With the outcome being to reduce or eliminate the risk of
homelessness.
To agree terms and enter into a 12 month agreement with Catch 22 to
provide a grant of £24,611.00 to fund the delivery of the
service in the Tendring area.
The grant will be paid from the Council's allocation from the
Homeless Prevention Grant.
The decision has been made in consultation
with the Housing Portfolio Holder to fund the service and if value
for money conditions are satisfied, to approve future funding
whilst such value for money considerations are met and a budget is
available.
This decision does not directly impact the Council's climate change
action plan, however, officers will be holding discussions with
Catch 22 regarding their work and future plans to reduce green
house gas emissions from their buildings and services.
