Following the panel meeting on 30th March 2021 (which included Councillor Lynda McWilliams, Officers from Tendring District Council, CVST and an Independent Consultant), the Portfolio Holder for Partnerships decided:-
That the funding given to the Council from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government should be distributed, as detailed below, to the following groups:

The panel received 17 applications and 12 community groups met the assessment criteria as outlined in the bid prospectus. In total £173,230 to be distributed at this stage and £16,770 to be distributed at a later date through micro grants. Each organisation will complete a contract to access funding and all projects are subject to monitoring and evaluation.
All applications were assessed on the basis of supporting local communities adversely affected by Covid 19 (especially BAME residents and those with disabilities).
Yes - Any panel member that had a vested interest in any application did not take part in the evaluation of the relevant bid proposal viz.
Councillor McWilliams & Lisa Andrews (CVST) withdrew for the review of the CVST bid; and
Carol Magnus (TDC Officer) withdrew for the review of the Digital Access Team bid.
