Agreed exemption to the Council's procurement rules to work in partnership with other local authorities to provide an Amazon style platform for independent traders.

Reasons for the decision:

Agreed at a recent NEEB meeting by Cllr Newton and Paul Price to finance 6 quick win projects to help support businesses emerging from COVID-19 in partnership with other local authorities. Click it Local is one of those projects and will provide an Amazon style platform for Tendring's independent businesses. TDC will subsidise the platform for 6 months.
Finance has been allocated via the Budget Report that went to Cabinet on the 19th March 2021.

Alternative options considered:

To not work in partnership and not provide the platform.
