Purpose:

To seek approval for the freehold Disposal/Sale of Council housing gardens, now surplus to requirements, in Wivenhoe Road, Alresford, for solely residential garden purposes only.  

 

Subject to the Portfolio Holders’ decision in Part A, to approve terms for a freehold disposal/sale of Council housing garden plots, Wivenhoe Road, Alresford.

Decision:

That the Portfolio Holder for Finance and Corporate Resources and the Portfolio Holder for Housing approve the principle of and terms for:

 

Disposal/sale of garden land to rear of 147 and 149 Wivenhoe Road, Alresford, being surplus to requirements, with each party bearing their own legal costs, and subject to such other terms considered necessary by the Corporate Director (Corporate Services).

Reasons for the decision:

The Portfolio Holder for Finance and Corporate Resources approval in July 2017 provided authority to initiate the process of negotiation of the disposal/sales in accordance with the Council’s Property Dealing Policy.

 

This authority seeks authority to complete the transactions.
