Part 3 Schedule 3 Responsibility for Executive Functions delegated to Officers paragraph 4.3(1) - the Corporate Director has delegated authority to discharge executive functions within their respective service areas (Part 3.38). All delegations are subject to consultation where considered appropriate in the circumstances (paragraph 4.3 (4(ii) - Part 3.39). The Corporate Director (Operational Services) has delegated operational matters relating to the following issue to the Head of Sport and Leisure.

To place an order for a sculpture to be installed at Parkeston on the first roundabout which visitors reach when driving from Harwich International Port. This artwork will be a replica of the Mayflower Ship and will denote Harwich as an area of outstanding heritage with significant links to the Mayflower story. The foundations for the sculpture have already been installed by Essex County Council and the procurement process and consultation has already been completed.

To award the contract to the successful company and place an order for the sculpture for installation.

The foundations have been complete and installed by Essex County Council/Ringway Jacobs in preparation for the installation.
