To proceed with the Dovercourt lighting refurbishment project and to award the contract.

Reasons for the decision:

To enable the lamp columns along Dovercourt Promenade to be refurbished.

Alternative options considered:

To remove the broken lights and not replace them - this area is well used all year around by a variety of different people including dog walkers, joggers, beach hut owners and other seafront users and a well lit promenade supports the evening leisure use in the darker months.
