To procure a provider to commission a suite of training courses to be delivered to local businesses across 2024/25, and recorded to be retained by the Council as an ongoing resource for businesses to access beyond the life of the current UK SPF provision.

£20,000 of funding has been allocated for this commission under UKSPF intervention E34: Courses inc. basic skills (digital, English and English as a Second Language), and life skills and career skills and financial support.
Following feedback received from attendees who have attended a Tendring4Growth event, it has been made clear that there is a demand for easily accessible and free training, for instance, social media and digital training is a popular request.
The concept of delivering this training through recordings, rather than one-off events, makes the information more accessible to people who may not be able to visit an event, as we do not have the capacity to professionally record a training session being delivered in an event setting.

To not utilise UKSPF funding to deliver this training and not have a free resource for Tendring Businesses to use.
If the allocated UKSPF funding is not spent and the project is not completed by March 2025, this will need to be returned to UK Government.
