Purpose:
Chipside are the owners and suppliers of the
current PCN Processing and Cashless Parking used by Tendring
District Council. The decision is made to enter into a 6 month
exemption contract to be able to complete a tender process in full.
Providing the council the access of their systems and paying the
council the income obtained by the use of the cashless parking
system MiPermit.
Decision:
To enter into a 6 month exemption contract for
PCN processing and cashless parking while the tender process is
undertaken to appoint a permanent supplier.
Alternative options considered:
Not entering into a further agreement. Not
proposed. This would leave the authority without appropriate
software for processing payments and penalties pending the
completion of a further procurement exercise.
