Purpose:

In order to consider a Tendring Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) land bank for off site credits it is necessary to obtain initial baseline surveys.

Decision:

To instruct Place Services to carry out baseline surveys over 53 sites and Geosphere Enviromental to carry out surveys over 3 SSSI sites in accordance with their quotations submitted.

Alternative options considered:

To not consider TDC land for off site credits - this would be short sighted and the surveys will enable future informed decisions.
