Chipside and MiPermit software systems are used to process off street car parking payments, penalties and permits. The contract for these software systems is due to expire. A procurement exercise in terms of renewal is under way but has been challenged by some difficulties and is to be reset. It is proposed to agree a six-month extension of the current contracts while that additional procurement work is carried out.

To agree six-month contract extensions for the Chipside and MiPermit software packages pending the carrying out of a formal procurement exercise.

Option 1 - Agree a contract extension - proposed - allows the service delivery to continue while the further procurement work is conducted.
Option 2 - Not agree an extension - not proposed - the service would be without software during the procurement exercise.
