Following a successful application to the Cllr Levelling up fund, TDC Cllrs were jointly awarded 40k funding, which it was agreed would support the costs of an additional Family Solutions Officer for Tendring.
This decision seeks to accept this Cllr levelling up funding from ECC and to match fund this allocation with 20k from the Alliance health inequalities funding, and therefore seek to recruit to this post, a one year fixed term contract.

To accept the Councillor local levelling up funding from Essex County Council and to match fund this with Alliance health inequalities funding, in order to enable the Council to look to recruit to an additional Family Solutions Officer post.

Option 1 - accept the Cllr local levelling up funding from ECC and match fund with Alliance health inequalities funding (the latter funding previously agreed by Cabinet - an MOU exists in terms of this funding signed by the ICB and the Council).
Option 2 - do not accept the ECC funding, and therefore do not recruit to the additional post, which would support additional vulnerable families across the District
