To commission a Leisure and Tourism Smartphone App through Amido Ltd as a key strand of the Council’s adopted Digital Transformation Programme at the agreed cost with an agreed sum per annum for support costs.
As stated in the Decision Notice.
Consideration was given to a collaborative development utilising Essex University students. This was dismissed partly due to the additional Council IT staff resourcing that would be necessary but primarily because it would leave the Council without any ongoing technical support or commercial contractual protection.
