Purpose:

The Council provides a range of Kerbside recyclate collections and services from bring sites around the District.
It is proposed to include a kerbside textile collection service for residential properties. In order to enhance the levels of recycling in the District.
The contractor Essex Textiles, the service provider for a number of nearby authorities, has offered to provide the service at no cost to the Council.

Decision:

To implement a Kerbside textile collection service to residential properties.

To enter into a service level agreement with Essex Textiles for the delivery of the collection service.

Option 1 - Provide the Textile collection service - Proposed
Option 2 - Do not provide the textile collection service - Not proposed
Option 3 - Invite competitive bids for a service - Not proposed - No other potential providers have been identified.
