Fees for Street and Numbering have not been
increased for two years, over those two years inflation rates have
increased significantly, with 2022 anticipating being the highest
increase in over 40 years. In order to continue to provide services
to the public, it is necessary to increase fees and charges where
these are justified in order to support the continued delivery of
the associated service.
The Schedule of Fees and Charges 2023/24 for
Operations and Delivery / Building and Public Realm / Coastal and
Engineering Services / Street Naming and Numbering is set out in
Appendix A be agreed.
To hold fees at current levels – if the
Council does not increase its income streams where possible, it is
likely service provision will need to be cut back in order to
mitigate increased costs.
