Purpose:

The Leisure Centres currently provide in-house vending machines at Dovercourt and Walton Leisure Centres, allowing customers to purchase a variety of snack items, cold drinks and a hot drinks machine located at Dovercourt. The prices have been in place for some time and are required to be reviewed.
With ever-increasing costs and a stock price increase over time, the leisure sites have collectively reviewed the items sold and outlined the proposed changes to each item we sell within the concurrence letter.

Decision:

Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Tourism agrees and approves for the vending prices to be increased as outlined in the concurrence letter.
The increase would cover the expenditure costs associated with purchasing stock for the vending machines and machine costs, along with maintaining in-line with income lines after inflation on product purchases.

Alternative options considered:

Not to increase the costs for the product and the vending will not cover the operational cost and would cost the centres to operate in effect loss revenue.
