| Decision :- | RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL - (a) That it was agreed to establish a dedicated Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Education and Skills; (b) That the Terms of Reference for this new Committee was agreed as set out in the report A.5 on the Cabinet agenda of 28 February 2014; (c) That the membership of the Committee was determined, including the Chairman, Vice Chairman and the option to include two non-voting Co-opted Members of the Committee to be drawn from the Education community; (d) That amendment to the Constitution was approved to allow a dedicated Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Education and Skills to be established; and (e) That the Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Education and Skills was to be paid the same Special Responsibility Allowance as the Chairs of the other Overview and Scrutiny Committees. (f) That Members of the Committee should have appropriate CRB checks and safeguarding training. |
