| Decision :- | That: (a) the Children and Young People’s Strategy be reviewed and updated and that the new Strategy and Delivery Plan be reported, in due course, to the local Health and Well-being Board and Cabinet for approval; (b) the revised draft Children and Young People’s Strategy be submitted to the Community Leadership and Partnerships Committee and the Education and Skills Committee for review and comment prior to being submitted to the Cabinet and the Tendring Health and Well-Being Board; and (c) that the following matters raised by the Community Leadership and Partnerships Committee be implemented now namely that: • when draft reports are sent to Cabinet they should make it clear that this is a strategic priority of Council; • this subject be included on new Members’ induction so that new Members are made aware of Child Poverty issues in the District; and • this issue is really important to the reputation of the District and that this subject must be addressed and issues reported every six months. |
