Purpose:

This decision follows previous decisions taken in April and May 2022 in relation to procuring and commissioning consultants to support with the preparation of the Levelling Up Fund (LUF) bids for both Clacton and Harwich.

The Business & Economic Growth Portfolio Holder was consulted and she has concurred with this decision being made.

Decision:

To authorise spend of up to £26,500 on the 3 further aspects in relation to support with the preparation of the Levelling Up Fund (LUF) bids for both Clacton and Harwich.

Alternative options considered:

To continue without the information as detailed in the Letter of Concurrence would significantly weaken the bids in both areas.
Value for Money was taken into account in sourcing the external expertise for these aspects and decisions about which company to commission have been taken after reviewing a number of quotations.
