Purpose:
To seek authority for use of funds from the Council’s Facilities Management Budget for the installation of a low cost electric vehicle charging point in the Town Hall car park, Clacton-on-Sea.
Decision:
That the Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Tourism agrees –
(a) to the installation of a low cost 7kw EV charging point at Clacton Town Hall.
(b) to fund the installation using up to £3,400 from the Facilities Management Budget.
Reasons for the decision:
To support Council priorities in respect of carbon reduction initiatives.
To promote use of electric vehicles by provision of necessary infrastructure.
