Decision details

·      To inform the Portfolio Holder of the specialist quotation received for the replacement of the failed cremator plant.

·      To seek the Portfolio holder’s decision to proceed with the urgent replacement of the plant and to enter into contract with Facultatieve Technologies Limited for the design, supply and installation of the plant.

·      To seek the Portfolio Holder’s decision to enter into such building work and related contracts as may be required supplemental to the plant replacement.

·      To seek the Portfolio Holder’s decision to enter into a ten-year contract with Facultatieve Technologies Limited for servicing and repair of the new plant during its life.

The Portfolio Holder notes the specialist quotation received for the replacement of the failed cremator plant and subsequent maintenance agreement and authorises Officers to:

a)      proceed with the urgent replacement of the plant and to enter into contract with Facultatieve Technologies for the design, supply and installation of the plant;

b)      enter into such building work and related contracts as may be required supplemental to the plant replacement; and

c)      enter into a ten-year contract with Facultatieve Technologies for servicing and repair of the new plant during its life.

To replace the failed equipment as soon as practicable.
