To submit a Stage 1 'Expression of Interest' bid to the Government's Future High Streets Fund in respect of Clacton Town Centre. The Expression of Interest must be submitted to Government by 23:59 on Friday 22nd March 2019.

Reasons for the decision:

To ensure Clacton Town Centre is considered for the ‘Future High Streets Fund’ which was set up by the Government to renew and reshape Town Centres. The decision has been made as the Expression of Interest Application was not able to be completed in time for consideration at the Cabinet meeting on Friday 8th March 2019. This decision was announced by the Leader and endorsed by Cabinet during that meeting.

Cabinet approval was not a viable option due to timing.
