In Essex, there is investment of more than £75 million into the Superfast Essex programme, which is coordinated by Essex County Council The programme is funded by BDUK, Essex County Council, contributions from some local authorities (Braintree, Epping Forest, Maldon, Tendring, and Uttlesford District Councils) and a significant proportion of investment from the private sector delivery partners, BT and Gigaclear.
